WHAT IS MENTOR COACHING?
Mentor coaching for an ICF credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.” - International Coaching Federation
WHEN DO I NEED TO HIRE A MENTOR COACH?
In order to apply for an ICF credential, you are required to have been coached for a minimum of 10 hours over a minimum of 3 months by a qualified Mentor Coach who holds ICF certification at the same or higher level than that which you are applying for.
To renew your Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential, you require an additional 10 hours of mentor coaching since the initial award of your credential.
